What does carburetor bench service include?

Each carburetor is serviced at the bench, separately from the motorcycle, boat, powersports vehicle or small-engine equipment it came from. The work may include:

1. Disassembly and documentation. The carburetor is disassembled and its as-received condition and settings are documented.
2. Ultrasonic cleaning. Carburetor bodies and passages are cleaned to address fuel varnish, gum and contamination.
3. Jet and passage verification. Jets and passages are manually inspected, cleaned with compressed air and dried.
4. Component inspection. Floats, needles, seats, diaphragms and other components are checked for condition.
5. Reassembly with serviceable parts. CarbBench can install appropriate replacement components supplied by the customer or repair shop.
6. Inspection sheet. Completed work and relevant findings are recorded. Appropriate baseline or as-received settings are restored where suitable.

CarbBench does not source or purchase replacement parts. If additional parts or work are needed, CarbBench contacts the customer or shop before proceeding.

Who can use CarbBench?

CarbBench services carburetors for motorcycles, marine engines, powersports vehicles and small-engine equipment. Contact CarbBench with unusual configurations or linked multi-carb assemblies before arranging shipment.

What carburetor service does not include

CarbBench works on removed carburetors; it does not repair or diagnose the complete machine. Unless specifically agreed, service does not include removing or installing the carburetor, diagnosing ignition, compression, intake or other engine problems, or performing final vehicle-specific tuning and synchronization.

A cleaned and serviced carburetor may not resolve the machine's underlying problem. The owner or installing technician is responsible for installation, leak checks, adjustment and safe operation after service.

How to arrange mail-in carburetor service

1. Contact CarbBench first. Confirm that the carburetor or assembly can be accepted and get the current shipping instructions.
2. Prepare the details. The printable information sheet records contact, return-address, equipment and carburetor details. Preparing it does not submit an order or reserve service.
3. Drain and pack safely. Do not ship a carburetor containing gasoline. Follow your carrier's rules, protect fragile parts and include the completed information sheet.
4. Wait for inspection and invoice. CarbBench reviews the carburetor, discusses unexpected work or parts needs, then sends a PayPal invoice after the final total is determined.
5. Receive the return shipment. Return shipment follows payment. The customer pays return shipping; tracking is provided when available.
